Hesse Margareta

The color red is woven throughout many of Margareta Hesse´s artworks. She works on two thin, flat and layered polyester plates. Color, light, and texture are the highlights of her artwork. On the top layer there is often shellac to add a more plastic effect. Her artwork´s strong appeal comes from its ability to completely transform the aesthetic of a room.

Margareta Hesse has often had her artworks displayed in solo exhibitions in museums as well as in galleries and art fairs both in Europe and internationally. She recently won the top prize in an art contest held in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Berlin. The jury sighted her use of light and color as the reason for her success in creating a moving and interesting piece.
