Wohlfart Anke

"There are two important things in painting: figures and landscapes", says ANKE WOHLFART (*1964). Already during her studies she dealt with the subject of "landscapes" - first representationally, then increasingly abstractly.

The people she places in partly experienced, partly imagined locations also seem almost unreal. The artist wants to evoke associations - to show human imperfection with breaks. "Our perception is constantly changing, and this movement is also reflected in my paintings.

ANKE WOHLFART studied painting and art history in Essen. Her works are presented nationally as well as internationally at exhibitions.
