Tobias Stutz (*1983, Filderstadt) studied Fine Art Painting from 2005 to 2011 under Prof. Ralph Fleck at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, including a guest semester at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. In 2013, he completed his Master of Arts at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter/Bonn. In his artistic practice, he combines conceptual considerations with a pronounced sensitivity to form, structure, and atmosphere.
At the center of his work is the human being in relation to space, time, and environment. Characteristic of his practice is an open working process in which experimentation, reduction, and deliberate decisions play a central role. He understands his art less as a finished statement than as an invitation to dialogue. His works are represented in numerous national and international collections.
